Visitors can enjoy breakfast with the elephants, Valentines events, summer camps for kids & adults, a Solstice Stroll, Brew at the Zoo, and OktoBEARfest
BALTIMORE, MD – The Maryland Zoo has announced a fun-packed schedule of events with something for everyone in 2024. Guests of all ages can experience animals, learn about conservation, or just have a great time in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Best of all, all proceeds support the Zoo’s animal care and wildlife conservation programs.
Major events for kids and adults include:
- Breakfast with the Animals (monthly), presented by Constellation – this breakfast series lets guests dine near different Zoo animals and meet the keepers;
- Galentine’s Flamingle (February 10 & 11) – a 21-and-over afternoon event for you and your besties that features an open bar, games, animal facts, and fabulous drag performances;
- Sex at the Zoo (February 14) – a fun, definitely different Valentines cocktail party where adults learn about animal courtship and breeding;
- Bunny BonanZOO (March 29 & 30) – a special day of live music and fun just for families with young children;
- Brew at the Zoo, presented by M&T Bank (May 25 & 26) – the region’s largest craft beer festival with unlimited beer and wine sampling, amazing food, and live bands;
- Wine in the Wilderness (September 14) – Sample wines and stroll through lush old growth forest in the Zoo’s Maryland Wilderness area;
- Zoo BOO! (October 26 & 27)- a family-friendly Halloween celebration with safe trick-or-treating, costume contests, games, live entertainment, and animal visits.
Other events include daily presentations by zookeepers, conservation activities, yoga classes, and a solstice stroll.
