BALTIMORE, MD – Each year, the Maryland Zoo changes its operating hours to reflect reduced animal activity during the coldest months of the year. During January and February it is open Friday through Monday from 10 am to 4 pm. General admission prices are also lowered from $24 to just $18.
Animals such as the prairie dogs, African penguins, Amur leopard, cheetahs, lions, and otters are likely to be visible in the colder weather. Visitors may also enjoy animals like chimpanzees and giraffes in their indoor areas. The Zoo has compiled a list of animals you can expect to see, or not see, during the cold, winter months.
The Zoo will return to its normal hours and pricing on March 1st.
