BALTIMORE, MD – With cooler weather on the way, the Maryland Zoo is heating up with a fun fall roster of events.
The schedule includes old favorites like Trucks for Tots, Zoo BOO!, OktoBEARfest, and the rescheduled Wine in the Wilderness – and new events like Girls’ Night In, Wild Workshop, and the updated version of Zoo Zoom.
Girls’ Night In (the Zoo) (ages 21+) Celebrate National Girls’ Night In (the Zoo) and learn about fierce females at the Maryland Zoo. Open to people aged 21 and over, this event features unlimited cocktails, zookeeper chats, carousel rides, amazing food, and a dance party. To commemorate the occasion, Smyth Jewelers will be offering welded bracelets for purchase.
Wild Workshops Get crafty with one of multiple workshops where you can select a fun do-it-yourself project to take home. Projects include bat string-art, holiday crafts, terrariums, birdhouses, and creating a giraffe welcome sign.
Wine in the Wilderness Stroll through the sights and sounds of nature with wine in hand. Wine in the Wilderness is held outdoors under twinkling cafe lights and amidst native species like bobcats and river otters. Bring a blanket to spread out and enjoy a keepsake wine glass and live music.
Trucks for Tots BGE is bringing massive electric trucks and other vehicles for kids of all ages to come explore. Climb inside and imagine life on the road, or steer yourself to meet animal ambassadors and take advantage of interactive Zoo activities.
OktoBEARfest presented by CFG Bank The region’s biggest craft beer festival returns with two days of unlimited sampling, live music, trivia, amazing food, and admission to the Zoo.
40th Annual Zoo BOO! presented by CFG Bank Don’t be scared! Zoo BOO! is the best way for kids and families to celebrate Halloween. There will be games, costume contests, free trick-or-treating, live entertainment, face painting, and a not-so-spooky hay maze scaled just for little ones.
Zoopernatural Halloween Dance Party Step right up for an unforgettable evening that will mystify and entertain you with sideshow acts, creepy, crawly animal ambassadors, and carnival games – not to mention, amazing food, cocktails, and music. Carnival-themed cocktails are encouraged!
Zoo Zoom Sprint like a cheetah, prance like a gazelle, or gallop like a zebra. Zoo Zoom returns in person for the first time since 2019. This timed 5K course runs through the Zoo and features animal-themed pit stops for refueling, a 1-mile Fun Run, and more. Runners are encouraged to wear animal-themed costumes and can sign up for a special post-race brunch.
