Parking:
Please be aware that there is a MAJOR event happening in Druid Hill Park on Saturday, June 17th, and Sunday, June 18th. The event is AFRAM Festival. Due to road closures and congestion, please be aware of the following changes to the recommended directions to the Zoo for this weekend.
- Many entrances to the park will be closed to vehicle traffic on Saturday and Sunday, however, the Greenspring Avenue parking lot entrance will remain open to Zoo guests. We recommend using this entrance. Please also allow additional time to your travel as we expect both the park and Greenspring Zoo entrance to be congested.
- The major event in Druid Hill Park will be charging for parking. In order to ensure the Zoo’s parking lot has spaces available for Zoo guests, on this weekend ONLY, Zoo visitors will be asked to follow the detour routes recommended below in order to avoid getting charged $5 for parking by park event staff. As a consideration, adult and senior tickets are discounted an additional $2 for that weekend only. The discount is already applied online for June 17 and 18.
Zoo guests should enter via Greenspring Avenue to access the Zoo parking lot. Other access points will be completely blocked.

Route A (suggested):
- I-83 to Exit 9B – Coldspring Lane West
